When Does It End?

It ends when YOU decide it has to end,

It ends when you’ve finally had enough,

It ends when you’ve ran out of excuses,

It ends when you realize a change has to be made,

It ends when you discover it’s suffocating you,

It ends when the truth stares you right in the face,

It ends when you can’t let another day go by,

It ends when you finally decide to be honest with yourself,

It ends when you realize you deserve so much more,

It ends when you can no longer continue to disservice yourself,

It ends when you determine that it’s more trouble than it’s worth,

It ends when you decide it’s time to do something new,

It ends when you realize it no longer serves you,

It ends when you realize you can no longer accommodate it,

It ends when you realize you can’t take it anymore,

It ends when it no longer moves you,

It ends when you loathe it more than you love it,

It ends when you realize that you just WANT it to end,

It ends when you SAY it ends,

It ends when you put it to an end.

It’s the pain, the shame, the guilt, the thing that stands between you and your goals & dreams, the thing that holds you back, the thing that creates drama in your life, the thing that doesn’t let you sleep well at night; it’s that one thing you KNOW has to come to an end.

Mwana, Kage, this piece has reminded me that I have placed comas in some nagging stuff that I need to put a period to. I gotta put an end to them. Thank you for this insight.

I am glad this piece resonates with you and love that it has inspired you to take some action. It only ends when YOU put in to an end.

I couldn’t agree more! Many times especially with relationships we know we need to end it but keep on hoping something will change and only end it when we reach our breaking point. So true!

Hi Lydia. You are so right about us unnecessarily delaying action and causing ourselves unneeded pain. We usually know when we need to put an end to things but don’t always trust our ability to do so. Thanks for your continued support.
